Mountain Pine’s population is less than 1,000 residents. Its close proximity to Lake Ouachita provides the town’s residents with great recreational opportunities. Mountain Pine’s Camp Yorktown Bay is a Christian camp and retreat center. The center provides summer camp programs, outdoor education, team building, and retreats.
Students in the town attend Mountain Pine School District, which serves all or portions of the communities of Mountain Pine, Hot Springs National Park, Royal, Piney, and Jessieville. Mountain Pine includes five neighborhoods: Pinewood (north), South Mountain Pine, a business district with a city hall, bank, post office, and store), Cozy Acres (southwest), and the Mountain View/Timberland area.

- Severe and persistent muscle spasms including without limitation those characteristic of multiple sclerosis
