Walnut Ridge Medical Marijuana Doctor

Ozark MMJ Cards provides medical marijuana card renewals to residents of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas. Walnut Ridge merged with nearby College City in 2017 and is adjacent to Hoxie, located to its south. This combined urban area is home to approximately 8,000 residents. Walnut Ridge is the county seat of Lawrence County.

Three major highways serve the population of Walnut Ridge, including Highway 63, Highway 412, and famous Highway 67, also known as Rock and Roll Highway 67. Many celebrated musicians played along this stretch of highway in the 1950s. Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Roy Orbison, Jerry Lee Lewis, Billy Lee Riley, and Sonny Burgess are a few of the famous entertainers who frequented the area. In the 1960s, the Beatles changed planes at the Walnut Ridge airport and giving Walnut Ridge a connection to the band that lasts to this day. The town is the only Arkansas community the Beatles visited and the town proudly displays a life-size sculpture of the Beatles as they appear on the “Abbey Road” album. In addition, Walnut Ridge hosts the Beatles at the Ridge Festival every fall and storefronts throughout the town display Beatles signs, memorabilia, and caricatures year-round. 

Walnut Ridge offers convenient educational opportunities to its residents. Williams Baptist University is a private university located in Walnut Ridge. Founded in 1941 as a two-year institution, Williams Baptist began granting four-year undergraduate degrees in 1984. In 2017, the university also began offering graduate degree programs, as well. The town is also within convenient driving distance to Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and Black River Technical College in Pocahontas.
