FAQs
- How does medical marijuana work?
Medical marijuana has numerous cannabinoids. CBD and THC are two of the most abundant ones. When they enter your body, they interact with your endocannabinoid system (ECS). This system regulates bodily functions such as sleep, mood, pain, and appetite. Marijuana’s cannabinoids help this system and create balance in the body.
- What conditions qualify me for medical marijuana?
Each state has a different set of qualifying conditions for medical marijuana certification.
Check the qualifying conditions of your state below:
- How long does the visit take?
We gather the necessary information through our form to make the online visit as short as possible. The visit usually takes about 10-15 minutes.
- How long is a medical marijuana card valid?
In most states with a medical marijuana program, your card is good for up to 12 months. After that, you have to renew it to be able to use medical marijuana again.
- Can my medical marijuana certification be revoked?
Yes. The state can revoke your certification if you don’t use it within the law. You can only purchase cannabis for yourself from a licensed dispensary. Buying cannabis for someone else or breaking other MMJ regulations within your state allows the Department of Health to remove you from their patient registry.
