Dr. Steve Vlach
Dr. Steve Vlach currently resides in Oklahoma, but his home state is Nebraska. His father was a Family Doctor in the small town of Hartington, NE, which influenced his choice of medicine as a career. He attended Creighton University School of Medicine, graduating in 1986, and then did his residency in Family Medicine at Siouxland Medical Education Foundation. He has been Board Certified in Family Medicine since 1989. He practiced as an emergency room staff physician for 12 years before practicing rural family medicine in Nebraska, Colorado, Arkansas for over 30 years. His interest in MMJ occurred during the 6 years he practiced in Colorado, where he saw many patients who began using MMJ effectively for pain, insomnia, PTSD, and numerous other conditions.
Steve began recommending MMJ cards in Colorado in 2013. His early experiences with MMJ came from three family members who had cards, one of which is a professional grower and works in the MMJ industry in Colorado. He has also attended numerous medical MMJ conferences, and has extensive experience using that knowledge for the benefit of the many patients he has certified over the last nine years. When not helping others at two of our telehealth clinics, Dr. Steve enjoys gardening, bowling, hiking, snow skiing, and traveling to the mountains of Colorado.
